I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Stephen O’Brien on his new post as Captain of the Men’s club for 2012 and wish him every success for the year ahead. Many thanks to all the members of Ballinastoe Golf Club including the Ladies Club Captain, Bernadette Gillis and incoming Captain Joyce Dempsey and members of the Ladies club for all your wonderful support throughout my year as Captain.
Thanks to a great Committee – Stephen O’Brien, Dave Hanway, Paddy Harvey, Tom McDougall, Stephen McKenna, & Gary King. I have no doubt that this Committee will strive to take the club to new levels and make all new and present members very proud of their club.
It has been an honour to serve as Captain and Handicap Secretary of the club, I enjoyed every moment of it and will continue to support the club and the Committees into the future. A very big thanks to Colin Huet who masters our website and keeps us all amused and up to date with events at the club. To Anthony and Fergal Mulligan a special thanks for your support and guidance over the past years.
To the new Captains and all the members of the new Committees I wish you great success in taking the club forward in the coming years.
