Question:
What do I do if I’m on the course and I’m not sure about a ruling?
Solution:
The best thing to do is to declare to your partner or fellow competitor that you are going to hit two balls; the original as it lies (no matter how difficult or bizarre the shot), and one from a position you and your playing partner feel is fair via a drop, or removing an impediment etc…
Then complete the hole with both balls and record both scores on that hole. After your round has finished, ask a rules official which was the legitimate ball and count that score.
