Hole 1/10

Par 4Index 4Meters 391 365 335

The first hole provides a good opening test. You drive off down the slight decline. Positioning is key as the green is protected on the right hand side by a large bunker. The best option is to go for the safe part of the green and look to your putting for the magic to happen.

Hole 2/11

Par 3Index 3Meters 199 149 110

Ranked as the easiest hole on the course. The green is narrow from front to back but is quite wide. A bunker is lurking back right of the green so distance control is the important factor when teeing off.

Hole 3/12

Par 4Index 4Meters 264 264 192

The shortest of the the par 4’s but arguably the one hole on the course that can cause the most problems. The drive is the biggest challenge. The fairway is very narrow to start with and opens out more with distance. Out of bounds is all down the right and a large lake lurks on the left hand side. Once you’ve safely negotiated the drive a small tree guards the front of the green which forces the golfer to use a finesse shot into the flag.

Hole 4/13

Par 5Index 5Meters 477 462 412

The par 5 dog legs up the hill from left to right. The fairway is wide but the drive is important in determining if you can make a good go of reaching the green in two. If the tiger line is taken from the tee box an outside chance of getting close to the green in two is possible for the big hitter. A bunker is positioned back left of the green so attention must be paid to the approach shot.

Hole 5/14

Par 4Index 4Meters 385 385 353

This hole plays down the hill with a narrow front to back green but long in width. A narrow fairway with trees guarding both sides of the landing area from the tee box. If the pin is postioned on the left of the green then it is possible to go for it but if it’s perched up on the far right hand side the safe play is required if you wish to come away with your card unblemished.

Hole 6/15

Par 4/5Index 4/5Meters 394 383 374

The most intimidated hole on the course. Frequently you will be met by a stiff breeze into your face on the tee box. It requires a big hit off the tee up the hill to get past the trees and gorse that lines the landing area. Then another long iron is played to a large green which has a large fall off area to the left hand side. Accuracy is at a premium. A par feels like a birdie on competition day. This hole plays as a Par 5 for the Ladies.

Hole 7/16

Par 4Index 4Meters 368 368 342

A great driving hole as you can give it everything to help set up a good approach shot. It dog legs off to the right slightly. The green is positioned at the bottom of the slope and is narrow from front to back but has a huge bunker that runs almost the full length of the green in front. This makes for a really fun second shot as you are required to hit the perfect approach shot if the pin is positioned anywhere behind the bunker.

Hole 8/17

Par 3Index 3Meters 201 142 142

The final par 3. You can only see the top of the flag from the tee box. There are two bunkers positioned to the left hand side of the green so any shots pulled to the left will have a sandy grave. The wind is generally into your face as you tee off up the hill which makes this hole a lot trickier than first impressions give.

Hole 9/18

Par 4Index 4Meters 365 355 326

A great finishing hole and probably the signature. Out of bounds runs all the way down the right. The fairway slopes from right to left which puts a premium on tee shot positioning. Any tee shots landing on the right hand side that don’t get a kick down the slope will leave a long and difficult shot to the green. The green is protected by two bunkers. One bunker on the left hand side and one bunker off the back right hand side. The green is elevated so approach shots must be well judged. If your playing matchplay, you will want to have won your match before the 18th as there is no room for error.
