The rain last Sunday 29th January proved to much for most on competition day as only a few braved the conditions but unfortunately the competition had to be cancelled.

The Ladies section held an end of year Christmas party in the Parkview Hotel in Newtownmountkennedy on Saturday 10th December.

Joan Daly was presented with the Golfer of the Year award for 2011 by the Lady Captain Joyce Dempsey. Big congratulations to Joan after a fabulous year of golf.

As Lady Captain I would like to wish all our members a Happy and Peaceful Christmas. Best wishes to all for 2012 and look forward to seeing you all out golfing when the weather improves – Joyce Dempsey.

The Men’s and Ladies Committees would like to thank all those who sold tickets for the Christmas raffle.

It was hugely successful and was topped off with a great nights entertainment and craic in the Glencormac Inn, Kilmacanogue.

A special thanks goes to the band “Coddle” who provided entertainment on the night and to Tom Creavin and the crew in the Glencormac Inn who kept all fed and watered. Also to all the members that provided prizes and to P & O Ferries and Bray Golf Club for their donations to the prizes.
