Boomtown New Orleans Riverboat Casino Overview

Now owned and operated by Pinnacle Entertainment – formerly Hollywood Park Inc. – Boomtown New Orleans is a riverboat casino and hotel located on the West Bank in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The resort, which opened in August 1994, was originally known as Boomtown Westbank, with its name being changed to Boomtown New Orleans when its parent company, Boomtown Inc., was bought out by Pinnacle in 1997.

In 2016, after expansion to the value of US$ 145 million in 2006 and refurbishment valued at US$ 20 million in 2015, Boomtown New Orleans is a five-star 150-room hotel, with a 30000-square-foot casino, a spa and salon, a nightclub, numerous restaurants, conference facilities, a fitness centre, and more.

Inside the Five-Star Hotel

As mentioned, there are 150 rooms and suites in the five-storey Boomtown New Orleans Hotel. During the 2015 refurbishments, Pinnacle opted for a thoroughly modern look and feel for these rooms, which include The Deluxe King, Deluxe Queen, Cypress Suite, and Live Oak King Suite.

All of these rooms are notably spacious and amenities – which vary depending on the quality of the room or suite – include LCD televisions, complimentary Wi-Fi and access to the Boomtown New Orleans fitness centre, in-room safes, and in-room coffee machines, among others.

When lunch, supper, dinner or snack time rolls around, Boomtown New Orleans guests have five different dining options from which to choose – Bayou Market Buffet, Bayou Market Express, Asia, and Pier 4.

Boomtown New Orleans regularly plays host to local cover bands as well as international acts at Boomer’s Nightclub Live & Loaded evenings. There is no cover charge to gain entry to this Boomtown New Orleans venue, nor is there a minimum drinks order.
